Reparto Corse Skills Ride
Info:
A combination of hills and flats in central north Westchester. I lead the ride at a pace suitable for learning paceline technique on the flat sections (about 20mph) as well as climbing and cornering skills where appropriate.
No one is dropped and we regroup on the hills.
The loop is 20 miles and we take a coffee break at the end to go over what we learned and talk about about bike fit.

PERFORMANCE TESTING by BRUCE HENDLER
Info:
July 11 and July 13 - 16 @ 3RDnature
Appointments from 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm, except Wed., 7/16 (12:00 pm - 6:00 pm)
PERFORMANCE TESTING FOR CYCLISTS (all 5 days): Lactate Response to Exercise, or combined with DartFish Video Pedal Stroke Analysis. Testing will be done by appointment, and can be done in pairs with a friend. There are limited appointments available.
CALL NOW TO SCHEDULE YOURS!
Participants will go home with a 5-page bound report from the Lactate Response test, and the DartFish report will be burned onto a disc. Not only will this testing give you an accurate picture of what your baseline fitness level is now, it will also give you all of the information you need to properly use your heart rate monitor and power meter for effective and maximal training. Without this testing you cannot predict your true training zones, essentially rendering your HR monitor and power meter useless.
PERSONALIZED TRAINING PLAN: 1- or 2-month plan which will be initiated at the event and followed-up personally via e-mail communication with Bruce Hendler.
"BRIDGING THE LAB TESTS TO THE ROAD": Group ride that goes over specific workouts - Sunday morning - 7/13 - @ 10:00 am.
PRESENTATION ON TRAINING/TESTING: Wed. night - 7/16 - @ 7:30 pm.
Check out Bruce's website for more information about the testing: www.athleticamps.com

Alternate fuel sources and fuel-friendly forms of transportation are of prime concern to commuters these days. If you want to reduce stress and improve health, biking for transportation can't be beat. Civia (www.civiacycles.com) is dedicated to promoting the use of bicycles for transportation. They designed their bikes from the ground up, studying every aspect of commuting, hauling, trekking and schlepping.
Come down on Sunday, June 29 and listen to local commuters talk about their personal experiences, view a variety of products designed for the bike commuter, and head home with some great promotional items.
